Privacy Policy
Data shared by visitors while using the corporate website belonging to Murat Kaya (MUENKA brand) (the "Company") may be processed by us in accordance with this privacy and cookie policy. As data controller, the Company takes the necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure an appropriate level of security, so that personal data is processed lawfully, protected against unlawful access and properly preserved.
Company activities are carried out in line with internal policies and rules prepared for the protection of personal data. Awareness work is carried out among employees regarding data protection legislation and these internal rules, and the necessary declarations and undertakings on confidentiality are obtained from employees and from those processing data on our behalf. Information security measures are applied to prevent unauthorised access to personal data, and the adequacy of those measures is reviewed periodically so that the data security system is continuously improved.
Personal data will not be transferred to a third person or company without the consent of the data subject, unless it falls within the processing conditions set out in Articles 5/2 and 6/3 of Law no. 6698. Where the Company works with other organisations in order to receive support services, it ensures that those organisations also comply with the Company's privacy standards and conditions. As required by law, records of all transactions carried out with our organisation by our employees and by the people to whom we supply products or services are kept completely, accurately and in a secure environment.
When the purposes for processing personal data come to an end, the data will be deleted, destroyed or anonymised by MUENKA on its own initiative or upon the application of the data subject, using the techniques available. Where personal data is deleted by these means, it is destroyed in a way that makes it impossible to use or recover it again.
Data processed in order to carry out the Company's activities is stored securely in physical or electronic form for an appropriate period. Where the data controller has a legitimate interest, personal data may be retained for the maximum period foreseen by legislation even after the purpose of processing and the periods set out in the relevant laws have ended, provided that this does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of data subjects. After that period ends, personal data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised according to the procedure described above.
The Company reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy without prior notice in order to keep it current and compliant with legislation. Where changes are made, the updated policy will be published on our website.
Cookie Policy
As Murat Kaya (MUENKA brand) (the "Company"), we use cookies to improve your experience while you visit our online channels. Cookies are small text files stored on your device or network server by the websites you visit, through your browser. These technologies are used in accordance with the legislation to which we are subject, in particular Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698.
The purpose of this cookie notice is to provide information about the processing of personal data obtained through the use of cookies during the operation of our website at https://muenka.com/ (the "Site"). It explains what types of cookies are used on our Site, for what purposes, and how they can be controlled.
We may stop using the cookies on our Site, change their types or functions, or add new cookies. We therefore reserve the right to change the provisions of this notice at any time. Any change made to the current notice takes effect once published on the Site or in another publicly accessible medium.
How personal data is collected, and the purpose and legal basis
Within the scope of your visit to our website, your personal data is collected automatically through cookies, which are technical communication files, in accordance with the processing conditions set out in the Law.
We use cookies so that you can benefit from our website as efficiently as possible and to improve your user experience. If you prefer not to have cookies used, you can delete or block them through your browser settings. Please note that this may affect your use of our website. Unless you change your cookie settings in your browser, you are deemed to accept the use of cookies on this site.
On the legal basis that "processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject", the main purposes of using cookies on our Site are:
- To perform the basic functions required for the Site to work — for example, so that signed-in members do not have to enter their password again when visiting different pages.
- To analyse the Site and improve its performance, by determining whether current servers and bandwidth are sufficient, identifying Site load at particular times, and adjusting system settings accordingly to improve the visitor experience.
- To increase the functionality of the Site and make it easier to use, by storing the actions and queries a user has previously carried out so that a user name or search query can be remembered on later visits, and to enable sharing to third-party social media channels that may be of interest based on the visitor's actions.
- To help ensure the legal and commercial security of both you and our Company.
- Keeping your cart and favourites on your own device, remembering your language preference and completing the payment step securely. No cookies are used on our Site for targeting or advertising purposes.
Parties to whom personal data is transferred, and the purpose and legal basis
Personal data obtained through your visit to our website may be transferred, in line with the processing purposes above, to our business partners, suppliers, the natural or legal persons from whom we receive software and technical support services, and to public institutions authorised by law, on the legal grounds that "processing is necessary for the data controller to fulfil a legal obligation" and that "processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject".
Types of cookies used on our Site
Session cookies
Session cookies are temporary cookies used while visitors are on the Site and deleted once the browser is closed. Their main purpose is to ensure the Site works correctly during your visit — for example, allowing you to complete online forms that span several pages.
Persistent cookies
Persistent cookies are used to increase the functionality of the Site and to offer visitors a faster and better service. They store your preferences on your device through your browser. Some persistent cookies may be used to offer you tailored recommendations based on how you use the Site.
Customisation cookies
These cookies are used to remember users' preferences across different pages of a website — for example, remembering the language you have selected.
Analytical cookies
Analytical cookies produce analytical results such as the number of visitors, which pages are viewed, visit times and scrolling behaviour on the Site.
Marketing cookies
These cookies are used to display advertising relevant to the user and their interests. They may also be used to measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign a user interacts with while visiting particular web pages.
Strictly necessary cookies
The use of certain cookies is required for our Site to work correctly. For example, authentication cookies that come into play when you sign in keep your session active as you move from one page to another.
Cookies and local records actually used on this Site
The headings above describe cookie types in general terms. Our Site uses only the strictly necessary ones: no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party tracking code, advertising pixels or measurement scripts are loaded. Your visit is not tracked by third parties.
- muenka_admin — Strictly necessary cookie. Keeps the session of an administrator signed in to the management panel; it is never created for visitors. Duration: 12 hours.
- muenka.cart.v1 — Browser local storage. Keeps the products you add to your cart on your own device. Duration: until you clear it.
- muenka.fav.v1 — Browser local storage. Keeps the products you mark as favourites on your own device. Duration: until you clear it.
- muenka.paytr.v1 — Session storage. Carries your order summary while you move to the payment page. Duration: cleared when the tab is closed.
Your cart, favourites and payment records stay on your device and are not sent to our servers. At the payment step, the secure page of our payment provider PayTR opens; your card details never reach us at any stage, and PayTR's own cookie and privacy policy applies on that page.
Controlling the use of cookies
You can personalise your cookie preferences by changing your browser settings. All current browsers offer options to view and delete stored cookies and to block new ones; these settings are explained in your browser's help section. If you block strictly necessary cookies, signing in to the management panel is not possible; the visitor-facing part of the Site continues to work.
